Wax Carving Workshop
An intermediate jewellery workshop. More details below. Saturday 27th April & Sunday 12th May.
About this workshop
Make a beautiful wax carved ring in this intermediate workshop. Some previous knowledge of silver jewellery making would be advantageous, but not essential. It is held on 2 days over 2 different weeks. You will use techniques such as: sawing, annealing, forming, texturing, polishing and learn new skills in wax carving and cleaning up a casting on its return from the outsource company. Workshops are held in Yvette's home studio in Tarrawanna. The address will be sent to you via email once you make your booking. Cost is $260 AUD per person for the 2 days. This will include an information pack, some consumables, a small amount of silver, the use of my tools and equipment and my knowledge and assistance. Snacks, tea, coffee & water is provided. Please bring your own lunch or, there is a cafe nearby in Tarrawanna Village. Additional fees will be charged for the cast sterling silver ring, approximately $50. Each workshop class has no more than 5 students, ensuring the teaching time is very much one on one. There is a minimum requirement of 3 students, before a workshop will proceed. Book now or if you have any questions email yvette@ydjewellerydesigns.com.
